I know, I know -- it's a few weeks off. Still, write it down in your Trapper Keeper: Beginning at 5 p.m. that Tuesday, the Dallas Bar Association's Public Forum Committee is holding a three-hour what's-up-Dallas at the Belo Mansion featuring quite the foursome: Mayor Tom Leppert, University of North Texas Chancellor Lee Jackson, Trinity Trust President and CEO Gail Thomas and Dallas Morning News veep and editorial page editor Keven Ann Wiley. Says the announcement, the focus of the forum is "to update you on what's transpiring in the city of Dallas and how it affects you -- the citizen."
It's open to all comers, but I would assume it's first-come, first-served. All you have to do is RSVP to Sherri Evans.
And, speaking of the Trinity Trust, I was just on its Web site and discovered a cache of "leadership" videos, including one from Woodbine president and CEO John Scovell titled "Why The Hell Does It Take So Long?" He begins, "The citizens -- we don't understand flood control, we don't understand levees, we don't understand all the issues the engineering and technological side is dealing with." Jim?
