Downtown Dallas, One Big Ad

The council's Economic Development Committee will also talk "supergraphics" today -- you know, those building-sized billboards. Dunno what, precisely, is the point of the meeting, except to come up with some uniform guidelines for the signage, down to how to measure the percentage of text allowed on the billboards. (Right now, the thing's gotta be 92 percent picture -- pretty, pretty picture.) The memo's got more ads than the September Vanity Fair, and I do like the fact Carrie Underwood's omnipresent Vitamin Water ad graces the cover of the 24-page memo.
