It's well-known 'round these parts that when it comes to sports-talk radio, we're partial to KTCK-AM (1310, The Ticket). But for those who prefer their X's and O's in FM, here's some personnel news from ESPN's local radio affiliate: Weeknight host Mike Taylor, who locks down the 7-9 p.m. time slot and co-hosts the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Cowboys post-game shows, is departing ESPN for The Ticket. Only, it ain't Dallas' Ticket -- nope, try the one down in San Antonio, where Taylor says he'll be hosting the 3-6 p.m. weekday slot in two weeks, as well as Spurs pre-game shows. Good luck, Mike, we hardly knew ya. Seriously. --Robert Wilonsky

Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
