With a great nod of thanks to Friend of Unfair Park “LakeWWWooder,” we conclude this week of broadcasting with the following clip from the 1962 version of State Fair. As our Friend reminds in the comments of yesterday’s item concerning the tragically ignored Fair Park Band Shell, it was indeed the cinematic “site” of a majestic Ann-Margret performance — no, not this one, but her rendition of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Isn’t It Kinda Fun?” Oh, yes. Yes it is. Especially for those who need to be reminded of the Technicolor possibilities of the Band Shell.
