So, back on Wednesday, when it was, ya know, raining, more than a few Friends of Unfair Park wondered: Why, whenever it rains, does the city’s Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge construction-cam revert to a dry, sunny day — in this instance, August 29? I asked Frank Librio at Dallas City Hall, What the what? To which he replied: “The camera operates via a solar panel.” OK.
Why, then, is it still stuck on August 29? Frank just said, via e-mail, “No one has gone out to reset it, obviously, after the rain.” He says Judy Schmidt, head of the Trinity River Corridor Project, is “calling staff to go reset it.” You’re welcome.
