George, Mon Amour

A Friend of Unfair Park shot us a link this morning to this video, featuring a woman named “Catherine” who claims she moved from France to Dallas because she loves George W. Bush. (She posted to the YouTubes under the moniker “georgemonamour.”) And to prove it, she climbs a billboard — for Cabela’s in Fort Worth, hunh. Which makes us wonder if the whole thing isn’t just some silly stunt to promote the outdoor outftitter, in which case, well played. Personally, I think the video’s way too long — and the, uh, “French woman” thing ain’t working for me either. Still, strange. –Robert Wilonsky
