Perhaps you’ve poked your head outside today, or heaven forbid, ventured all the way outside your door. You’ve noticed it’s hot. Like hot, hot. Like summer hot.Thankfully, there hasn’t been too much heat dome talk thus far.

Dallas weather forecast, high-temperature outlook
“But it’s only May,” you scream while shaking one fist at the sky, while reflexes honed over the years take over your other hand to wipe the sweat from your brow.
Indeed, it’s “only May,” but that’s never been too soon for it to feel like June here in Dallas. As of 11 a.m. Wednesday, WFAA’s weather guru Pete Delkus was busy letting us all know that perhaps today is the hottest day of the week, with an expected high of 100 degrees, according to the forecast he posted to X. Thankfully, he offered a bit of hope to those of us not quite ready to sweat to the oldies.
Today is the hottest on the 14-day.

Today is the hottest on the 14-day,” Delkus wrote. “Added cloud cover and rain chances help trim a few degrees late week and weekend.”
So, it’s still going to be hot this week, but maybe not quite as hot. Got it?
