This isn’t Jenny the Elephant news — not really. Well, it kinda is. Because, see, on Monday, Rudy Bush wrote on The Dallas Morning News‘ City Hall blog that “a group that wants to see Jenny moved” from the Dallas Zoo to Tennessee is “staging a gathering (which
they insist is not a protest) in front of Mayor Leppert’s home in
coming days.” Sorry, he wasn’t more precise. But Margaret Morin, founder of Concerned Citizens for Jenny, insists that thus-far unidentified group’s got nothing to do with hers.

Nonetheless, The News‘ item prompted Angela Hunt to post to her blog a unh-unh-no-you-don’t in which she writes, among other things, “I may not see eye-to-eye with Mayor Leppert on every issue, but this kind
of invasion of privacy crosses the line. It reveals a lack common
courtesy and is an embarrassment to those of us who advocated for
Jenny’s move to Tennessee.” Can’t we all just get along? –Robert Wilonsky
