This morning, there was Rick Perry’s latest ad — he’s a doer, see, not a talker, or so he says (which is weird, because he’s not a talker … but a drinker, maybe). But lest we forget, from another GOP would-be, there’s a new Tom Leppert spot out there too — this one, like the last, filmed amidst ruin and despair (otherwise known as: The Cedars). Where Perry’s is scored to “sprightly” strings and full of Just For Men grins, the former Dallas mayor’s spot is mournful, foreboding, terrifying — a grimacing glimpse of the future, One Nation Under Tom. Jump for it. Happy Halloween.
