As an aerial shot of AT&T Stadium played on screen, anchor Scott Van Pelt stated “the state of Texas, Arlington, Dallas,” before he was boisterously interrupted by first-year co-host Jason Kelce, who belched out “also the butthole and armpit of America.”
Viewers could hear the other hosts reacting while Kelce eventually, and unconvincingly, added “joke, joke.”
To be clear here, this article could, and perhaps should have a different headline: “Guy Famous For Being Brother of T-Swift’s Boyfriend Takes Cheap Shot at Dallas.”
Jason Kelce on Dallas "Also the butthole and armpit of America"

Sure, we all have our gripes when it comes to where we live, but we get to say negative things, not some dude from up north.
If we’re being fair, though, Kelce is a future Hall of Fame center who played for arguably the Dallas Cowboys' most bitter rival: the Philadelphia Eagles. On top of that, he helped lead his team to a Super Bowl victory and another Super Bowl appearance over the past few years, so he’s got the scoreboard advantage on the local team. Add to that, he’s become perhaps even more famous in retirement than he ever was during his playing days thanks to some funny commercials, a couple of viral moments and his podcast with his brother, Travis Kelce, who most people around the world mainly known as Taylor Swift’s loverboy of a bit over a year now.
But since we don’t have to be fair, it’s fine for us to point out that Kelce stepped over the line with his comment on national TV. A guy that loves Philadelphia, of all places, has no room to insult North Texas in such a vulgar manner, as far as we see it. Philly is where fans booed Santa Claus during an Eagles game years ago for crying out loud. It’s also where fans cheered when Cowboys legend Michael Irvin was taken off the field with a career-ending injury in 1999.
Jason Kelce should just be thankful your more famous brother, with more Super Bowl wins than you, has allowed some of his shine to light your path. Enjoy Philadelphia this week, with its temps in the 30s and 40s with a steady stream of rain while it’s nice and sunny here this week. Guess it’s not always sunny in Philadelphia, after all.
