But even before the Marvin Gaye-covering Evans was intro’d as a Dallas native last night it was clear who he was: Not only is he an established gospel singer ’round town, but as you’ll see in the five-minute excerpt above his father’s a familiar face too — none other than Dr. Tony Evans of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship. And now his son’s going to be coached by Christina Aguilera.
