Did you happen to notice that The Dallas Morning News got a shout-out on the Late Show with David Letterman last night? Not the good kind, either; nothing like when a big-city daily winds up in the “Small Town News” segment.
Seems Dallas’ Only Daily recently reprinted a quote from Letterman, in which he said, “At my age, you really don’t want to have to learn a new commute.” Only, next to the quote was a photo of a different late-night host: Jay Leno. Said sidekick Paul Shaffer, “”You look good!” The Dallas Morning News, not s’much. –Robert Wilonsky
Update: Several Friends of Unfair Park have written in to correct, more or less, both Letterman and myself: The item originally appeared in Quick, not The Dallas Morning News. Still, doesn’t that qualify as a technicality?
