Just a reminder this a.m. that you need not actually go to City Hall to hear Lily Tomlin make good on her promise to address the city council about Jenny the elephant; meetings can be viewed online, at long last. But for those who can’t make it to chambers by 9 a.m., we’ll have video later this a.m. — and Tomlin will be performing an encore at 10:30 a.m., or thereabouts, in front of City Hall (so, Mom, you’d best hustle).
And, should you go to council this morning, there is interesting business on the agenda — namely, an update concerning North Texas (Hello, Jerry) landing an NCAA Men’s Final Four between 2012 and ’16 and a peek at the plan for how Dallas will get its drinking water come 2060. Hint? Oklahoma! –Robert Wilonsky
