North Texas is home to billionaires, professional athletes and other types of really, really rich people. Surprising absolutely no one, Park Cities and Preston Hollow remain some of the richest ZIP codes in DFW. But other suburbs are quickly catching up, and some smaller towns on the outskirts far surpass the median income of the two legendarily wealthy neighborhoods.
According to U.S. Census data, the wealth across DFW is fairly spread out, with large pockets in North Dallas, Frisco, and the suburbs of Denton County.

Dallas County
1. 75225 (University Park)
For years, University Park was the wealthiest ZIP code in the state and one of the most expensive areas in the country. The neighborhood is noted for its palatial homes, of which the least expensive will run you a cool million.
Median income: $189,985
2. 75205 (Highland Park)
Highland Park, along with University Park, famously ranked as one of the richest ZIP codes in the state for years. It’s since been dethroned, but that doesn’t mean it’s affordable. After all, Troy Aikman still calls it home.

3. 75229 (Preston Hollow)
Many of the city's billionaires live behind gates in Preston Hollow. A lot of those billionaires are members of the same family. Several members of the Hunt family, who got their start in the oil business and now own several professional sports teams, share the ZIP code with Mark Cuban.

Denton County
1. 76092 (Southlake)
Southlake is south of Grapevine Lake, hence its clever name. Much of the city is located in Tarrant County, although part of it is in Denton County. This small town, only 22.5 square miles, has such a high median income the U.S. Census Bureau caps it at $250,000. The city’s median income is triple that of the state average, $75,000.

3. 75022 (Flower Mound)
Flower Mound is slightly elevated, about 50 feet, above the neighboring towns. Rumor has it the town takes its name from an abundance of wildflowers that thrived from a lack of plowing on the higher ground. But that's just a rumor.

Collin County
1. 75033 (Frisco)
Frisco has big-city amenities and a high ticket price to enjoy them. Home to the HQs for the Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Stars and a laundry list of corporate headquarters, Frisco has a population of 232,424 people.

2. 75009 (Celina)
This area has a growing population people and a lot of them are loaded. The city is nicknamed Rollertown, after residents put all major buildings on rollers and wheeled them closer to the newly laid railroad tracks in 1902.

3. 75013 (Allen)
Allen is home to the state’s biggest high school, with 6,947 students in the 2023–24 school year. It also has almost 1,200 acres of parkland and more than 80 miles of trails.
