I don’t know — stripped of Rage Against the Machine, the latest R.I.P. Dallas ad doesn’t have the, ya know, punch. Still, though, I’d be interested to hear how the pro-hotel group came up with its second choice: Cincinnati-born Christian artist Nicole C. Mullen’s “I Have a Dream,” off her 2008 Word Records release A Dream to Believe In, Vol. 2. Right — it’s because they have a dream. The new version’s after the jump, if only for those audio-visual geeks interested in playing compare-and-contrast. And, this reminder: The Vote No faction — those against Propositions 1 and 2 — is hosting a “Save Dallas! Mega Event” tomorrow beginning at 4 p.m. in front of Dallas City Hall. At which point, those umbrellas might come in handy.
