Paul Baker, standing in front of the then-new Kalita Humphreys Theater in 1960

This will be but one of two Friday flashback items featuring old photos of a disappearing Dallas; later today, treats from a Friend of Unfair Park’s grandfather’s treasure chest. But this morning, Friend of Unfair Park “Peterk,” who shares our love of this city rendered in stark black-and-white, sends the good word: “Google now has the entire LIFE magazine photo archive online. Here is a link to Dallas photos. Have fun.” They went up two days ago, and while there are only 10 pages’ worth of photos, we’ve spent the better part of the morning sifting through the stacks. Better yet, they’re all for sale — framed, ranging from $79.99 to $109.99. –Robert Wilonsky
