From GlobeSt.com late Friday came this good-news exclusive: Dallas-based NorthPoint Properties is set to sink $30 million into a sprawling "retail gateway" at the intersection of Samuell and Buckner Boulevards. It'll be called Buckner Crossing, with the first phase scheduled to open next summer. Notes Connie Gore this a.m. of the development: "Buckner Crossing is the first ground-up retail to rise in five years in a diverse ethnic pocket with 324,432 residents in a five-mile radius and an annual average household income of $54,842." --Robert Wilonsky
