Yes, I know. Thanks for the calls and e-mails, really. KTCK-AM (1310, The Ticket) is not on the air right now--at least, not on the AM side. Its FM counterpart at 104.1 is up and running, but the guys back at the station have no idea what's up at present. I am sure by the time I post this, all will be corrected. (Dunno: Wind + antenna = static, maybe?) Now back to our regularly scheduled broadcast.
Oh, there's this too: One of the Friends of Unfair Park who e-mailed about the Ticket's being down also sends word this morning that there are currently two people camped out at Circuit City at Meadow and Central Expressway, waiting for the PlayStation 3 that goes on sale Friday. And he just called to say there were guys at the Best Buy at Midway and LBJ Freeway too. Seriously? Christ, doesn't anyone work at this hour? Guess not when you live at home. --Robert Wilonsky
