Our correspondent for yesterday’s anti-Prop 8 protest at Dallas City Hall had last-minute business to attend to, but plenty of folks among the thousand-plus on hand captured the event for the YouTubes. Probably the best of the video lot comes courtesy TreyCruz.com, where there’s but the slightest hint of disappointment at the turnout: “We really expected a larger turn-out considering the masses of people that attends the Pride Parade and the Halloween Block Party, but the number of protesters were around a mere 1,000.” Alas, notes Dallas Voice‘s John Wright, it’s all about context: “One longtime local activist, Louise Young, told me it was the largest LGBT equality demonstration in Dallas since at least the 1980s.” –Robert Wilonsky
