Speaking of Jobs, They're Looking for a "Morsels Attendant" at the Convention Center Hotel

Oh, right -- Morsels is the name of the downstairs coffee shop at the city-owned Omni downtown, which opens on 11/11/11, in case you've forgotten. Anyway. They're looking to hire someone willing to be "responsible for up-selling and suggestived selling of gift shop items and brewing gourmet coffee." Suggestived? Hey, you gotta pay your unitility bills somehow.

So happens the Omni has 95 job openings at the convention center hotel, everything from head houseman to concierge to overnight front-desk agent. (Always wanted to be a concierge, but only if For Love or Money was anywhere close to accurate.) Which I discovered only because Dallas Convention and Event Services sent out a release filled with open-to-the-public events scheduled at the convention center. And, says that to-do list, from September 15 to 17, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, the downtown hotel's holding a job fair.

Also says they're expecting 5,000 to attend. For 95 openings. Line up now.
