This afternoon, we learned the name of the Ursuline Academy teacher accused of an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old student at the Catholic all-girls school on Walnut Hill Lane: David Novinski, who is 35 years old. Reports The Dallas Morning News, he turned himself into authorities today and has since posted bond. This comes five days after Ursuline officials sent a letter to parents informing them of "allegations regarding inappropriate sexual contact between a faculty member and one or more Ursuline students."

If you go here, you will see that as of nine days ago, Novinski was one of two Ursuline teachers incoming students were supposed to contact for the 2007 Summer Programs, touted as "a great way to meet new friends, and to learn their way around the campus." If you go here, however, you will see that Novinski's name has been removed from the contact list. --Robert Wilonksy
