The Dallas Stars Need a New Head Coach

There's a 3 p.m. presser scheduled with local media members. Till then, this and only this is all the Dallas Stars' front office has to say about the immediate adios of head coach Marc Crawford, who yet again couldn't get his team to the post-season:

Head Coach Marc Crawford Relieved Of His Coaching Duties

Dallas Stars General Manager Joe Nieuwendyk announced today that Head Coach Marc Crawford has been relieved of his coaching duties, effective immediately.

"I would like to thank Marc for the hard work he provided to the Dallas Stars over the last two seasons," said Nieuwendyk. "We wish him the best in the future."

For once, I agree with Cowlishaw (meaning: for once, I read Cowlishaw): Bring back Hitch.
