We're always interested when a former Miss America makes an appearance at Dallas City Hall.

Expect another installment in The Many Faces of Mayor Tom tomorrow, as we head down to City Hall for a morning press conference. And we're expecting this one to be plenty packed, as Leppert will be joined by Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens. Why come? Says the media release, the twosome will be announcing the Passport to Health Diabetes Awareness Expo, which will take place November 5 at the Music Hall at Fair Park. Also in attendance tomorrow: Nicole Johnson, 1999 Miss America and diabetes advocate. But why Owens? From the media release: "The mayor and the Dallas Cowboys’ player have something in common: celebrity appeal and the desire to educate the public about how a healthy lifestyle can lead to a healthy body." --Robert Wilonsky
