Everything you need to know about the old Pearl Beer “waterfall billboard” on Stemmons Freeway, construction of which was completed in 1962, you’ll find here and here; the landmark’s past has been well documented. But what of its future, as the water had evaporated in recent weeks? KXAS-Channel 5 has the update: Baby Doe’s Matchless Mine may be gone, but the billboard is staying — it’s just being repaired, before the construction of apartments begins. –Robert Wilonsky
