Norm Hitzges, probably the second most famous grad from Canisius College

So, we just gave KTCK-AM (1310) 10 a.m.-noon host Norm Hitzges one our prestigious, delicious and lightly smoked Best of Dallas® awards — “Best Local Sports Radio Show,” natch. Which means nothing, no doubt, compared to the latest honor bestowed upon Mr. Hitzges: Says here that on November 10, he will join Nelson D. Civello, Margaret W. Paroski, Michael F. Scheuer and Franklin J. Sciortino when they’re presented with the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Canisius College Alumni Association.

So, mazel tov, Norm, and … wait, Michael Scheuer? This Michael Scheuer? The guy who spent 1996 to 1999 looking for Osama bin Laden? Former CIA analyst Michael Scheuer? Wonder if Norm can interest him in the Picks of the Pole. –Robert Wilonsky
