That’s what U.S. News & World Report says, anyway, in its latest ranking of the best colleges in the country. Which puts Southern Methodist behind BaylorRice, the University of Texas and Texas A&M when it comes to the other Texas universities on the list. But don’t feel left out, TCU: You’re No. 113! No doubt, some will have problems with the mag’s methodology — seems to be some argument about the definition of “tier.” Look, it’s something you get tattooed underneath your eye, dig? –Robert Wilonsky
