You Want to Know Why Dallas PD’s Closed Off Main and Commerce Near Muncipal Building?

Well, maybe you don’t, but several Friends of Unfair Park were curious why the Dallas Police Department sent out the vague message that starting at 9 this morning, “there will be street and sidewalk closures at 2014 Main Street [and] both Main and Commerce streets and sidewalks could be coned and barricaded off most of the day.” Turns out, it’s no big deal: Crews are removing an old fire ladder from the roof of the city courts building, and DPD didn’t want it to come tumbling down on passers-by’s heads or cars. So happened Anna was down there this morning and sends this heads-up.
