It’s now been over two weeks since popular conservative media personality Charlie Kirk was killed during a speaking event on a Utah college campus. The immense reaction continues to ripple from Washington, D.C., to many state capitals, college campuses, many corners of social media and across the cable news spectrum.
Given that Kirk was as vocal about his Christian faith as he was about his conservative politics, it stands to reason that many churches across America have devoted quite a bit of time to discussing Kirk’s legacy. But as we reported a few days ago, on the Sunday immediately following Kirk’s shocking death, three churches, including Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, took its Kirk honoring to an extreme, and some say, creepy, level when they played an AI-generated audio recording of Kirk speaking from the beyond.
As an image Kirk’s face and an American flag appeared on large video screens, an AI version of Kirk’s voice started by saying, “First, I want you to know that I am fine, not because my body is fine, but because my soul is secure in Christ. Death is not the end. It’s a promotion. Don’t waste one second mourning me,” the AI Kirk said in front of a packed, multi-level auditorium. “I knew the risks of standing up in this cultural moment, and I’d do it all over again.”
The nearly one-minute clip ends with the fake Kirk saying, “Remember this, America is worth it. Free speech is worth it. Fighting for the unborn, for families, for sanity in a culture gone mad, it is all worth it. So, dry your tears, pick up your cross and get back in the fight. Do it with joy, do it with strength and never ever let evil think it won.”
When 2025 is all said and done, few topics, if any, will top Kirk’s death in terms of the amount of discussion it spurred. As you might assume, dear reader, that means the article in question, in fact, spurred a great deal of commentary on our social media channels. I have to say, if they just conducted a seance, I wouldn’t be as weirded out.

If they can bring Charlie Kirk back, I’m expecting big things from Jesus this Easter.

Did he say “release the unredacted Epstein Files?”

Why does church need to be such a performance and a show now? This is so inauthentic and it feels more insulting to his memory than respectful.
