Experts say that it’s supposed to be hot this summer, really hot. The Farmers Almanac is projecting this summer as “sizzling,” which, for most of us Texans, is expected, but that doesn’t make it any easier. What makes venturing out of the A/C and into the oven we live in worth it? Food and drinks deals.

We’ve compiled a list of restaurant and bar deals to help you beat the heat this summer. You can get a ridiculous amount of cold booze for not a lot of money from Lucky’s Hot Chicken, or try provocative margaritas from Single Wide. Some of these deals are limited-time, and many deals are posted week-of or shortly before, so keep an eye on these establishments' websites and social media for updates.

Electric Shuffle

2615 Elm St. (Deep Ellum)
Electric Shuffle, the shuffleboard bar in Deep Ellum, has partnered with Milk Bar and now carries they're cult-favorite cakes. You can order by the slice or get a whole one for the table. Brund on the weekends is just $50 per person and for happy hour from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday - Friday they have $10 margs, espresso martinis and house pizzas; plus, $5 wine, beer, seltzers and fries.

Henry’s Majestic

2303 Pittman St.
The deals are plentiful at Henry’s Majestic this summer, with something to enjoy almost every night of the week. Poker, trivia, live music, food trucks — the list goes on. Enjoy happy hour Tuesday-Friday from 4-7 p.m. with $3 off cocktails, $4 drafts and $6 wine, as well as Shiner Bock specials on Tuesday, extended happy hour on Wednesday and Tito’s specials on Thursday. Also, keep an eye out for limited-time cocktails, like their current frozen fresca margarita.

Lucky’s Hot Chicken

405 Gaston Ave.
Lucky’s offers some of the best happy hour food deals in the city, with sliders and fried pickles going for only $2.98, and their signature Big Lou Sandwich for only $5.98. The drink deals just add to the fun, with draft beers available for $2.48 and frozen drinks for just $4.98. That’s a sandwich, fried pickles and a margarita for under $15 (don’t check our math). You can enjoy these happy hour deals 3-6 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and 9-11 p.m. on Friday.

Over Under

5265 Village Glen Dr.
Over Under in The Village is ramping up the competition this summer, introducing trivia nights every second Thursday of the month and music bingo every third Tuesday. Extended happy hours will be offered during these events, which include $5 appetizers, $1 wings and $2 off the daily draft and well spirits. There are prizes to be won, so bring your friends, your dog, your game face and enjoy the night.

The Standard Pour

2900 McKinney Ave.
Did you know you can get 13 different mixed drinks all at $6 or $7 at one of the best cocktail dens in Dallas from 5 to 7 p.m. and all day on Mondays? Game-changer, right? That Cucumber Basil Ricky with gin at $6 a pop is exactly what you need. Plus, they have snacks like bruschetta and sourdough pretzels for just $8.

Single Wide

2110 Greenville Ave.
Single Wide is small, sexy and full of ambition. They just released a new frozen drink called the “Peach Pounder,” which is a peach iced tea, but sluttier, and is only available in June. What’s the best part of Single Wide, though? Happy hour until 9 p.m. Monday-Friday; swing by anytime between 4-9 p.m. for $3 well and domestic cans, as well as their signature YooHoo YeeHaw for just $5.

Spider Murphy’s

2810 N. Henderson Ave.
If all you want after a long day at work in the summer heat is to settle down in a pub and enjoy cheap drinks, then Spider Murphy's is the place for you. Happy hour is Tuesday-Friday from 4-7 p.m., with discounted drinks and half-price apps. If you’re one with class and love a good martini, then come in on Thursday for $6 martinis all night, or if you just want something mixed strong and to your liking, then there’s half-priced cocktails all night on Wednesday.

Bowl and Barrel

8084 Park Lane (The Shops at Park Lane)
Bowl and Barrel combines a need for sustenance and sports. On weekdays, stop by before 4 p.m. for a $10 daytime special, which includes an hour of bowling per person and shoe rental.

Sundown At Granada

3520 Greenville Ave.
We’re going to flip the switch with Sundown at Granada for our early birds. Maybe you’re in bed by sundown and up before the sunrise, so you prefer an early happy hour. Well, Sundown At Granada happy hour begins at 11 a.m. Monday-Friday, plus they have all-day drink specials Tuesdays ($4 drafts), Wednesdays (half-price tequila, whisky and scotch) and Thursdays (half price bottles of wine).

The Alamo Club

1919 Greenville Ave.

Happy hour is Monday-Thursday from 4-7 p.m., 3-7 on Fridays, and offers $5 drafts, $3 off house cocktails and $2 glasses of wine. They also update their Instagram often, so keep an eye on it for lunch and drink specials, trivia nights and all-day happy hours.

Fine diners, look no further, The Charles is offering a Summer Duro Experience, a four-course tasting menu inspired by seasonal ingredients with hand-cut pasta and wood-fired meats. The Sandy Pickle

5683 Village Glen Dr.

If you want in on the action, you can purchase the pass online here.

It’s a great way to unwind on a hot summer night.
