Guy Fieri To Host Meet and Greet at Spec's in Dallas This Weekend

This weekend, renowned chef and Food Network host Guy Fieri is rolling out to Dallas to promote his and Sammy Hagar's spirit brand, Santo Spirits.

On Saturday, December 7, he'll be hosting a fan meet-and-greet and signing bottles of Santo Tequila at Spec's (9500 N. Central Express Way) from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Santo Spirits was brought to life in 2019 with Fieri and the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer after over a decade of friendship, great tequila and their search for a taste revelation. Part of their vision was to produce additive-free, carefully crafted tequila using time-honored traditional methods that allow the agave to shine through.

This led them to Juan Eduardo Nuñez, a third-generation master distiller who helms the production of their tequilas at the famed El Viejito Distillery, which was founded in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, in 1937.

Today, Santo Spirits has an award-winning portfolio that includes a blanco, reposado, añejo and a 110-proof blanco tequila, along with Mezquila — the world’s first tequila and mezcal blend.
Each of their bottles has various accolades from institutes and competitions:

The legitimacy of these is TBD, as we're not agave experts, but we can credit the brand for the purity of its spirits. Many mainstream tequila brands use additives to enhance certain notes or flavors. Santo Spirit's 100% Blue Agave Tequila offers a full expression of the agave flavor.

In an interview with Forbes, Sammy Hagar opened up about the first premium tequila brand he launched in 1996, Cabo Wabo Tequila. It's said that it, alongside Patrón, helped pilot the premium tequila movement and changed the perceptions people had around tequila during that time.

Hagar sold the brand to Campari Group for a whopping $100 million in 2008, which opened many eyes to the financial possibilities of a celebrity spirit brand. After the non-compete clause with the Cabo Wabo sale ended, Hagar wanted to jump back into making tequila, specifically the world's first mezcal and tequila blend, and Santo Spirits was introduced to the world.

Does this mean we have Sammy Hagar to thank for a California red wine by Snoop Dogg? Just maybe.
