It's that time of year again. Thin Mints. Samoas. Tagalongs. The Girl Scouts are playing the hits. But after this year, they'll be without one of their greatest.
The Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas announced that the S'mores cookie flavor will be retired after the 2025 season, a tragedy for true cookie connoisseurs. The organization kicked off the 2025 campaign today with the controversial announcement, but it wasn't all bad news.
Norma’s Café is introducing an exclusive s’mores pie, complete with chocolate cream and marshmallow meringue topped with official Girl Scout S’mores cookie crumbles. The pie will be available at all Norma’s locations for a limited time between Jan. 10 and Feb. 23.
“We are absolutely thrilled to create a s’mores pie for the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas,” said Kurt Metzger, vice president of operations of Norma’s Cafe. “This classic flavor profile brings a sense of nostalgia and joy that resonates with so many of us. By supporting the Girl Scouts, we’re not just making a delicious pie; we’re contributing to a cause that empowers young girls and strengthens our community. It’s an honor to be part of their journey and to help foster a future of confident, capable young women.”
As always, Norma’s locations will also host Girl Scouts outside on select weekends beginning Jan. 24. With the impending freeze, focus your urge to stock up and hoard s'mores cookies instead of toilet paper and bread.
