Hash Over: Arcodoro & Pomodoro's Strawberry Festival, Naga Thai Travels Back to the Roaring Twenties, Lone Star Park's Fiesta, and more

Strawberries. Who doesn't love the bright red fruit that pairs well with champagne, can be used to make a milkshake, and goes great with almost any breakfast dish? You'd have to be mad not to love the strawberry.Or allergic.

Arcodoro & Pomodoro agrees with us because they are hosting their annual Festa Delle Fragole (that would be a strawberry festival) starting this Wednesday, June 9, and running until next Saturday, June 19, to celebrate the peak of strawberry abbondanza. The restaurant will have a strawberry-themed menu featuring arugula salad, risotto con mascarpone and fragole, and pan-roasted Alaskan halibut filet with a mango, strawberry, olive oil, and lemon relish. For dessert they will serve strawberry salad tossed with Mirto liqueur and topped with lemon sorbet, plus much more.

Yep, you'd be completely bonkers to turn down that menu.

Also going on this week....

City of Ate received a tip over the weekend that another Victory Park restaurant closed its doors. The Boardroom, which opened in September of 2008, is no longer serving martinis to patrons while they watch sports due to an alleged violation of their lease terms and conditions. We made a call to the property management company to confirm the closing, and yes, it's true though the property manager wouldn't go into details. Stay tuned for more news on The Boardroom as we learn them.
