Ramadan is here, and North Texas is accommodating the many celebrations and traditions that come with the holiest month for Muslims worldwide. From Feb. 28 to March 29, the Dallas-Fort Worth region has Muslims covered with where to eat for iftar, suhoor — the early morning and evening meals eaten during Ramadan — and how to celebrate Eid, the holiday marking Ramadan's end.

During Ramadan, Muslims fast from food and drink during sunlight hours as a way to get closer to God, generating self-control, appreciation and empathy for the less fortunate while rejuvenating their spirituality through devotion.

The following list offers Muslim families and friends space to gather around a table, break their fast with a nice halal meal and enjoy the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar.
