Did we eat one too many burgers this past July 4th weekend? By some standards, maybe. We're still marching through this week in a bit of a patriotic food coma. But honestly, is there ever such a thing as too many burgers? Especially a burger from a brand new gourmet spot in Dallas, with a menu made by a Michelin-starred restaurant group. Too much? Not a damn chance.

Coincidentally, that's also the name of the new spot. NADC Burger, which stands for Not A Damn Chance, is set to open a new location in Uptown Dallas this August. It'll mark the restaurant's second location in North Texas (the first one opened in Fort Worth earlier this year) and its eighth nationwide, taking over the space that formerly housed Playground Bar.

The restaurant will span two stories, equipped with a full bar and serve up the same signature burger that's spreading like wildfire across the country. It was co-founded by professional skateboarder Neen Williams and chef Phillip Frankland Lee, who operates Scratch Restaurants, which includes the Michelin-starred Pasta Bar in Los Angeles, and 12 Sushi by Scratch locations around the country, including one in Dallas. If we can assume his culinary abilities are evenly spread across his restaurants, let's say his creative naming talents were mostly used up on NADC Burger.

There's not much of a menu at NADC Burger, more than the name is the menu, and if you don't want its signature offering, there's no sense coming at all. It offers a single option, the namesake NADC Burger, which features two wagyu patties, American cheese, onions, pickles and jalapeños, with secret sauce on top. It totals out to $16, with the option to add fries for $5. It's as simple as it gets, in a way that we wish more restaurants were.

There is an option for a kids burger with simply meat and cheese for $8, and for the wild ones, you can make your fries "beast mode," adding cheese, pickles, jalapeños and secret sauce on top.

Not that we have much of a choice, but when NADC Burger opens in Dallas, we know exactly what we're going to try, and we're excited for it.

NADC Burger will be located at 2908 McKinney Ave.
