The Denton-hosted, pre-South by Southwest festival formerly known as NX35 went and released another round of performers slated to play its festivities in March today — and, as with the last round of additions, it features a couple of interesting names.
Among today’s several adds: Ohio-based singer-songwriter Jessica Lea Mayfield; acclaimed New York City noise-rockers A Place to Bury Strangers; and Gorilla Vs. Bear darlings Reading Rainbow and Nite Jewel.
Add them to a list that already includes Mavis Staples, Damien Jurado, Japanther, Parts & Labor, Colour Revolt, Royal Bangs, Reggie Watts, Viva Voce and others and the 2001 version of the 35 Conferette appears to be shaping up quite nicely, Flaming Lips or not.
Check out the entire list of already-announced bands (which still doesn’t include any local adds) and the latest press release after the jump.
