$10,000

If you’re in need of a little light reading this weekend, may I suggest the following: the 2008-2009 Proposed Annual Budget for the City of Dallas, which was previewed to the media and presented to the council last week and is now available in its entirety from the city’s Web site. It’s several hundreds pages long and, of course, not final till the council says it’s final. If you just happen to peek at it and notice something interesting, feel free to drop the detail in the comments.

Bonus: The city’s also posted a sneak preview of a new way to pay city utilities and services bills; it’s, ya know, coming soon! I also think we now need to give the little guy pictured above a nickname. –Robert Wilonsky
