For fervent online shoppers (or just Transparent fans) who are members of Amazon Prime, good news: Amazon Prime Now launched a free, one-hour food delivery service today in Dallas, which means Amazon will bring you dishes from more than 60 local restaurants.
From Hunky’s to Monkey King and St. Pete’s Dancing Marlin, Amazon Prime Now has signed on a decent roster of Dallas eateries, juice bars and grab-and-go health food spots. Order at primenow.amazon.com or download the Amazon Prime Now App — but you have to be a member of Amazon Prime, which costs $99 per year, to use the new-to-Dallas service. Food will be delivered in under an hour, Amazon says, with a $20 order minimum.
Food and alcohol delivery is a booming industry right now in Dallas — with services like Postmates, UberEats, Caviar and TopShelf, to name just a few — but with so many options, it’s hard to imagine every business model will prove sustainable.
