After the jump, the view from Plano yesterday, where, as we mentioned a couple of weeks back, 15 collegiate teams revved their solar-powered engines for the 2,400-mile trek from North Texas to Calgary, Alberta as part of the North American Solar Challenge. Only, sweet baby Jeebus, from the looks of those slow rides, it may take ’em a while. (See, for instance, this footage of one racer crawling through Calera, Oklahoma.)
