In a confluence of events that involved meat helmets, gorilla suits and balls, Dallas Observer‘s Mixmaster (hey, that’s us!) made an entry into the 24 Video Race last week. The race, as the name indicates, messed with our circadian rhythm enough to construct a film around not going to the dry cleaners.
And wouldntyaknowit, our little movie got selected to be in the finals. We’re very pumped, and honored to be in such good company. The selected films will screen tonight, starting at 6 p.m., at the Angelika Film Center…you know, whatever, if you’re not doing anything or whatever. The movies made by six or more members, the “Hollywood,” category will screen at 9:30 p.m. That’s where we be.
After the jump, you’ll find a list of those filmmakers (or their team names, rather) in the finals — as well as the totally weird ass movie we made. Hope you enjoy, and see you there?
