Friend of Unfair Park Peterk directs our attention today to this called-for boycott of Dallas-based Blockbuster, which is distributing voodoo dolls in Mexico City in advance of Wednesday’s World Cup showdown pitting the U.S. Men’s National Team against Mexico in Columbus, Ohio. Originally, Fort Worth-based Radio Shack had the deal to distributed the dolls, which Mexico’s football fans are to use to “cast a voodoo hex on the United States” team, heh. But Radio Shack backed out when it realized, um, maybe the word “Gringos” on the back of the jersey might not fly back home. To which Blockbuster said, “We got this.” Esto no terminará bien.
