In other movie news, the long-in-the-making Christmas on Mars — otherwise known as the Flaming Lips freakout Wayne Coyne’s been working on since 2001 — finally makes its Dallas debut October 17 and 18 at the Inwood Theatre, with two midnight showings. No doubt, this is due in part to the fine work of one Friend of Unfair Park, who reached out to Ray Privett, whose Cinema Purgatorio is distributing the movie. Around the same time, Christmas on Mars will makes its DVD bow; but, really, see it in a theater. Hey, you got couches and a bar in the theater. Now, all’s you need is a bong. –Robert Wilonsky
