… Fox!

So, last week it was The Dallas Morning News and Star-Telegram trying to figure out how to share a sleeping bag. Today, it’s Fox and NBC — not the networks themselves (not yet), but the local affiliates owned and operated by the networks, which would indeed include KDFW-Channel 4 and KXAS-Channel 5. Word of the collaboration first began circulating yesterday, as it was revealed the two nets will begin sharing content in Philly under the joint banner “Local News Service,” and sometime in 2009 the hand-holding will make its way this way. Says Fox group CEO Jack Abernethy: “We’re sending the same people and expensive equipment to cover the same stories and bring back the same pictures day in and day out.” In related news, Unfair Park is proud to announce its content partnership with Jane McGarry’s blog, soon as she updates it. –Robert Wilonsky
