On Saturday morning, a Dallas Police Department helicopter was on routine patrol over South southern Dallas when officers spotted what appeared to be marijuana growing inside a deeply wooded area off the 1500 block of Wood Vista Court, just north of the intersection of C.F. Hawn Freeway and Lake June Road.

Narcotics officers on the ground discovered a total of four marijuana fields with plants ranging from six inches to eight feet tall. They counted the plants (exactly 2,323), weighed them (550.430 kilograms), and took them to DPD’s property room where police encourage their rightful owner to claim them at his or her convenience.
