Leading up to our annual Best of Dallas® issue, we’re counting down the 50 most interesting restaurants in Dallas. These spots bring something unique or compelling to the city’s dining scene, feeding both your appetite and soul.
A meal at Off-Site Kitchen can leave you questioning the past. Everyone has indulged burgers from fast food restaurants, and most of them are terrible. The corporate machine that developed drive-thrus and Shamrock shakes squeezed every drop of moisture from quick-service burgers at the same time they squeezed out every last nickel.
Off-Site Kitchen serves up a similar menu of burgers, fries and sandwiches with one critical difference: Everything is delicious. The burger patties are small but thick, they boast a flavorful sear and they’re plenty juicy. Just one burger Murph-style and you’ll wonder why all of those childhood meals had to be so terrible.
But don’t dwell in the past too long. There are many, many burgers to be consumed on the road ahead. Off-Site Kitchen may not have a drive-thru, but you can get a meal there fast. And if you’re inclined to stay, a wall of reach-in refrigerators filled with beer will keep you occupied until you’re hungry again.
