His name is Lee McLane, and, according to the Dallas Police Department’s “Endangered Missing Person” bulletin sent to media outlets a short time ago, he was last seen 25 hours ago at his home on the 4900 block of Terry Street, near the S. Fitzhugh Avenue intersection. Says the DPD bulletin, McLane — who turned 77 three days ago — was last seen wearing a multi-colored shirt, brown pants and black shoes. From the release:
Mr. McLane drives a 2000, brown 4-door Chevrolet Impala with Texas license plate #535 SRW. He has Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. He is 5’8″, weighing about 180 lb., with blue eyes and gray hair.
If anyone has any information regarding the whereabouts of Mr. McLane, please contact Dallas Police Missing Person Detective Breedlove at (214) 671-4245 or call 9-1-1. A Silver Alert has been issued regarding Mr. McLane.
Update at 9:32 a.m. Wednesday: Dallas PD spokesman Kevin Janse just sent word: McLane has been found, and he’s OK. There are, he says, no further details at present, but he’s safe. Janse will update with more information once the report’s been filed.
Update at 2:29 p.m. Wednesday: Janse updates, “Lee McLane was stopped by Ennis PD in their city after they got a description of his vehicle from the alert.” That’s how he was found and returned home.
