In the hours and days between shooting Botham Jean and her name being made public, Dallas police Officer Amber Guyger appeared to scrub as much of her life as possible from the internet. By the time Guyger’s name was widely known, she and her family had disappeared from Facebook, Twitter and Instagram – the places inquiring minds would typically look for photos and anything else they could find.
It appears that Guyger failed to sweep up one trail of digital breadcrumbs.

A Pinterest account, under the username “guyger1” and the screen name “amber :),” can be found if one searches for Guyger’s name on the website. A woman who looks substantially similar to Guyger appears in the account’s profile photo.
The account features much of what you might expect from a 30-year-old cop. There are boards for “life hacks,” “Quotes and inspiration” and images about law enforcement. The woman behind the account is also apparently single, but she is saving ideas for her wedding on a separate board. Each of the boards on the account is between 8 months and a year old.

Given the circumstances and its content, the law enforcement board is the most interesting, but there are other pins of note scattered throughout the account’s public posts. Many reflect the “civilians just don’t get it” attitude that permeates the online spaces in which law enforcement officers gather, like Thee Rant, PoliceOne and pro-police groups on Facebook.

Incorrect – or at least misleading – statements about President Barack Obama make an appearance, too.
