In our “news from the future” department, we have this New York Times story dated July 25, about how Harley-Davidson’s trying to sell its bikes to the ladies. And though the story’s got a Nashville dateline, much of it takes place at a Grand Prairie dealership, where, recently, some 50 women gathered for a pitch party, where they “learned the fundamentals about motorcycles and priced the studded halters and leather jackets.” They also got some free Texas Rangers ducats (some incentive) and finger sandwiches — and, notes The Paper of Record, “most of [the women] were middle-aged.” And just when we were starting to think of our favorite Marianne Faithfull movie–Robert Wilonsky
