Quite the bill at The Cavern tonight as Vivian Girls, who Daniel Hopkins caught up with in this week’s paper, stop through town for a gig that also features area favorites True Widow and The Uptown Bums.
If there’s a common theme for the show, which kicks off at 10 o’clock, well, that’d be sludge, something featured in the sounds of all three of these acts–in Uptown Bums’ retro-punk, in True Widow’s dirge rock and in the headlining act’s retro-pop.
