Today is Local News Day
A national day of action to support and celebrate the trusted local journalism that strengthens communities. If you believe local news matters — this is the day to show your support. Make a contribution today to help keep our reporting free and accessible to all.
Hey there, we have some tickets for you.
This Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the 29th North Texas Irish Festival will bring traditional Irish, Celtic rock, equestrian demos and — of course — the Spirit of the Celtic Horse to Fair Park on March 4-6. No word on if the equestrian demos include a ride on the Spirit, but, man, we’d sure like to say that it does.
So, let’s get to it. We have four one-day passes, and we’re going to use Twitter to give ’em to ya. Here’s what you gotta do: follow @cityofate on Twitter. That’s pretty much it.
New City of Ate follower No. 29, from the time this post is live, will get a winning direct message from the trusty City of Ate. Make sure you respond by the end of the day, though, or we’ll be forced to keep the giveaway going!
If you miss out, we’re sorry about that — but you can check out more details on our events page.
Update: 6:40 p.m: We have a winner! Congratulations to Twitter user @mwynn546 — check your DM!
