The owners of Greenville Bar & Grill — Lucky Merk, LLC — filed a lawsuit this afternoon claiming the property owners of Terilli’s were cited 17 times for code violations by Dallas Fire-Rescue in the months before the March 2 fire that burned down four Lower Greenville staples.

The suit — which you’ll find in its entirety after the jump — asks for damages resulting from negligence by Greenville Landmark Venture, Ltd. and Greenville Landmark Venture GP, LLC, which leased space to both Greenville Bar & Grill and Terilli’s. In addition to the fire code violations, the documents also claim that Terilli’s roof did not comply with Dallas Fire Code and Dallas Building Code.

A message has been left for Jon duPerier, managing partner of Greenville Landmark Venture, Ltd.
